Claire was a barista during undergrad at this location of the beloved local chain, Jittery Joes. Zach's order is a whole milk cappuccino and Claire likes oat milk turtle mochas!
Claire worked as a docent at the Georgia Museum of Art during undergrad and highly recommends taking some time among the galleries. Our first date was at the university art museum in Durham!
UGA is Claire's alma mater and the home of the Dawgs. Visit Sanford Stadium, Demosthenian Literary Society, and the fountain on Herty field, but don't walk through the arch or you'll never graduate!
One of Athens's most precious landmarks, the Tree that Owns Itself is just as it sounds - a tree that owns property.
Sandy Creek Nature Center is a wonderful free park! There are great spaces for children to learn and play and lovely rambling paths through the woods.
The Botanical Garden is the venue for our reception, and it is a wonderful place for a stroll. There's a terrific children's garden and miles of walking trails, as well as manicured garden spaces and a green house.
This is a little out of town, but might be a fun stop for our friends coming from the Aiken area! The Iron Horse is a cultural landmark and one of Claire's favorite Athens stories. Good for stargazing or a picnic.
